Make Psychological Safety Visible - Every Day |
|
|
|
Psychological safety is rarely built through grand gestures. It’s built through small, repeatable behaviours that signal how people can expect to be treated. Most teams don’t struggle because they don’t care about safety. They struggle because safety is assumed rather than practiced.
People believe they’re being supportive, fair or open, while others experience something quite different. And psychological safety doesn’t live in intention – it lives in impact.

5 Markers Reshaping Organisational Coaching |
|
|
|
At the 2025 Facet5 Connect Conference, we spoke with more than 60 experienced coaching practitioners from 17 countries and asked a simple question:
“What are you seeing change in practice right now?”
The consistency in their responses was striking.
From those conversations, we’ve identified five key shifts that are reshaping organisational coaching. These aren’t theoretical predictions - they’re real-world observations from practitioners working closely with leadership transitions, talent pipelines and evolving coaching models.
For organisations building a coaching culture, these shifts offer helpful signposts, highlighting where new opportunities are emerging, where challenges may be growing and where thoughtful design really matters.

Personality as a Lens, not a Label |
|
|
|
Our very own Grant Gemmell recently joined friend of Facet5, Chris Pether, on the PeopleSmart SAS podcast to explore a common challenge: the way personality is too often reduced to labels, colours, letters or types.
Personality was never meant to put people in boxes. It’s far more powerful when used as a lens. A lens helps you notice:
In this episode, Grant and Chris dig into why self-awareness alone isn’t enough. It’s not a free pass. It’s not “that’s just how I am.”
Real growth begins when insight turns into intentional behavioural change. When leaders use personality not to justify themselves, but to stretch themselves.
If you’re curious about personality beyond the surface level, this episode will definitely give you something to reflect on.
We’d love to hear what resonates with you after listening.

You will all have heard the saying ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’, so it makes sense that the use of images in coaching and team-building brings a new perspective for both facilitator and participant.
People often struggle to find the right words or to describe how they feel about an issue or their role in a team or situation - the use of images can provide an alternative method of expressing opinions and thoughts.
Practitioners, login to the Knowledge Hub to find a starter guide to spark some ideas on using image cards in your facilitation.
Plus, find details on how to purchase your own set of Facet5 image cards and how you can facilitate these type of activities virtually.

If every team is made up of individuals with different personalities and working styles why don’t we spend more time understanding how those differences affect how teams work?
Most teams don’t have a collaboration problem.
Most of the time it’s a team understanding problem.
Facet5 TeamScape brings those individual profiles together to create a clear visual picture of how a team works - highlighting strengths, risks and how relationships are likely to play out.
It helps teams see:
And once teams see it… the conversations change.
